Our history

The Lipford Foundation was founded in memory of Deputy Sheriff Allen Lipford, who was killed in the line of duty in 1991 while bravely defending his community. In 2021, Allen’s partner, Mark Hutchinson, established the foundation to honor his legacy and extend support to other families facing similar challenges. Allen’s story of courage and dedication is one of many, and his memory inspires our commitment to serve and support families of emergency responders nationwide. Through the foundation, we honor not only Allen’s life but also the lives of countless other heroes who’ve given all in the name of duty.
